Patriotic Printables and Sensory Fun

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! What kind of summer do you go for - relaxing or exciting?!

I wanted to share some patriotic strategies with you as we celebrate the 4th of July for any of you who see extra clients in the summer, work in summer school, or in a school setting that has year-round (heaven forbid ;). You can also celebrate our country and its freedom for: Presidents Day: 3rd Monday in February Memorial Day: Last Monday in May Flag Day: June 14 Patriot Day: September 11 Veterans Day: November 11 And others! In addition to instrument play (taking turns, cooperative play, motor skills) and singing along (language, inflection, articulation, phrasing) to patriotic songs (check out the free patriotic song sheets here!!) - try something new by adding sensory props such as the ones from these blogs: Rhythms of Play // DIY Red White and Blue Stars Sensory Bottle

Or add some color and glitter with this Mom Moments Preschool Inspirations // Galaxy Calm Down Bottle

If you want something for little hands to explore while they identify new objects and colors, try this Patriotic Sensory Bin from The Preschool Toolbox

Finally, if you want some squishy slime, visit Little Bins for Little Hands to find out how to make this 4th of July Slime

Explore, play, get your hands slimy and have a blessed Independence Day!

EnJOY! <3 Patina Joy
